Toni is a dedicated, detail-oriented literacy professional with over 14 years of experience in grades K-12. She is committed to lifelong learning and supporting students with diverse learning styles and literacy needs. She is confident working with learners of all ages and uses varied instructional approaches to support academic deficits. Special interests include educational therapy, reading remediation, developing writing skills, and supporting students with reading disabilities such as dyslexia.
Toni holds a B.A. in English Education, a Master of Arts in Education, and a Reading Endorsement (K-12). She is a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist endorsed by The Center for Effective Reading Instruction and the International Dyslexia Association. She is Orton-Gillingham Certified and holds teaching certificates in English (7-12), Elementary (1-8), and Secondary English Education (6-12). She has met the rigorous academic requirements approved by the AET as a Professional Educational Therapist. She is an active member of the Association of Educational Therapists, International Literacy Association, International Dyslexia Association, and the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education.
